When I see a right-winger misusing the word "woke," I remind them what "woke" means.

The governor's general counsel, Ryan Newman, gave a pretty good definition when he said that, in general, it means "the belief there are systemic injustices in American society and the need to address them." Newman and his bosses don't believe that systemic injustices exist or need to be addressed, so this definition may sound snarky coming from his mouth. Even so, it makes more sense than others I've seen, so I keep it handy for educating folks and encouraging other allies to do likewise.
