What makes some women opt out of having children or choosing to have fewer children the more education they achieve while others are also accomplishing education goals, yet still embrace having multiple children?

Just a guess here ... maybe it has something to do with childbearing / childrearing seen as an individual endeavor here in the USA and a collective endeavor in the African countries where educated professional women are still opting for large families. Maybe.

I am often struck by the intense sense of community in the CHOSSA folks I see around me every day. This is in contrast with white society, which punishes any sort of non-conformity with exile. As obligate social creatures, hunans depend on community to survive and thrive -- exile can be a death sentence. This innate sense of community is a big key to Africa's survival and coming rise to world leadership.
