What if he'd come to the same conclusion by watching the news, or watching what's going on downtown, or watching what's going on in his own life? What if he'd come to these conclusions by reading the classics such as Malcolm X, James Baldwin? You can't solve racism by sweeping it under the rug and hoping that the young folks never notice.
