"The shooter’s name was Thomas Matthew Crooks. By all accounts, he was an ordinary student in Bethel Parks, Pennsylvania- about an hour south of where the Trump campaign rally was held. Crooks had donated to ActBlue, a PAC aligned with the Biden campaign."

He was not an ordinary student. He had won a $500 award for math and science while in high school. He was a history buff and a gun enthusiast. He had few friends and was often bullied. His social difficulties and special interests suggest that he may be on the autism spectrum, as I am.

Since he was a right-winger and a gun enthusiast, I seriously doubt that Biden is the main person he listens to when deciding whether or not to exercise his party's insurrectionist interpretation of his 2A rights. This is especially so because Biden's unfortunate statement was not made in a public forum but in a robocall to his supporters. In context, it was a metaphor, a call for focus, not for violence. And Biden has apologized -- something TFG has never done and would never do for anything.

Sure, the shooter made a small donation to Act Blue in high school. Act Blue sends spammy emails that trick people into making small donations, and I've fallen for them myself. But this one act should be weighed against Republican registration and his vocal support of Right-wing viewpoints, as recalled by his classmates in history class.

I agree; there's been a lot of fighting words thrown around. It's interesting that you mostly quoted Biden while ignoring that his opponent and followers have said far worse, far more often. It all goes back to Newt Gingrich (R-GA), who directed his party to stop after-hours fraternizing with the loyal opposition and to use lies and dehumanizing words in reference to us. If you don't know his role in the Republican Revolution of 1994, please look it up.

I understand many support TFG because they feel that he speaks for them and will bring in an era of peace and righteousness. So many are proud that he stacked the courts, overturned RvW, and removed many of the environmental protections that have been in place for 50 years. And he's so pro-Israel that some people say he's the Messiah!

But I disagree. The Messiah is supposed to bring out the best in us by writing G-d's law in our hearts. The resulting era of peace will come because we will all know G-d, and righteousness will become second nature. TFG lies as easily as breathing, brings out the worst in us, and stirs strife. Sounds more to me like G-d's Evil Twin.
