The Rasmussen poll was bogus because its question is ambiguous, depending on whether or not the responder recognizes the statement as a white supremacist slogan. That is,

Do you agree with the white supremacist slogan "it's ok to be white"?

OR

Do you agree that it's ok for folks of Euro descent to inhabit the skin that their ancestors developed as a climate and dietary adaptation?

I would answer a definite NO to the first question. I recognize the statement as a white supremacist slogan and I resist white supremacy. I would guess that the Black people who answered NO did so for the same reason. I've visited media spaces on Quora and Reddit which have this slogan as their header. It's not about reasons for folks of Euro descent to feel ok. No Quakers or UU's or Freedom Riders or John Brown. No Newtonian mechanics or Mozart or Beethoven or cell phones or PC's or EV's. Not even Irish stepdance or French cuisine or pictures of the kids and grandkids. Instead, it's all hate messages about Black people. Like the only way denizens of those spaces can feel good about themselves is by putting other folks down. No thanks.

As for the second question -- nobody gets to pick their parents or their ancestors. We all come in the bodies we came in, and there's nothing to be done about it. Is it ok to be whatever you're born as? What else would you be? I'd answer yes to that question, as did many of Black folks polled.

Scott Adams is being deliberately obtuse, like so many other common trolls. I used to like his cartoons but lost all interest when he came out in support of TFG. Especially since his reasoning was so crass -- he wasn't concerned about jobs or border security or abortion or any of the other reasons people gave for supporting TFG. He simply saw that TFG had a big following so he wanted to be on the winning team.

What a jerk.

I hope my Black neighbors and coworkers don't take Scott seriously, and decide to shun me because I'm a a member of a hate group. After all, people who look like me have done some horrible things to the rest of the world's peoples. In Scott's words, it doesn't matter if there are a few good ones here and there. Good thing in my neighborhood and in my workplace we look out for each other, simply because we're decent human beings, all in this together.

Scott Adams can go ... um... cancel himself.
