The people who support these ideas are driven by fear, anger, and disgust. They don't feel that Project 2025 is being forced on them; instead, they feel that the "liberal agenda," that is, the inevitable changes that occur as we extend human rights and dignity, are being forced on them.

They don't think rationally because they're stuck in fight or flight mode with a generous side helping of disgust. There's got to be some way to reach them but it won't be by reasoning. Reasoning doesn't help when you're talking with unreasonable people. There are a great many people in the USA like this, about 30% of the population.

For example, my brother is a trumpeter, and he insists that Project 2025 is a hoax, something that has, at best, fringe support. He believes TFG when he insists that he doesn't know anything about Project 25 or doesn't agree with it (depending on which day you ask).

Like one of the Biblical prophets said: our people are dying not for lack of food, but for lack of knowledge.

The opposition is driven by fear. There's a saying, love casts out fear. I'm not sure how that will work but it's a hint on how we can get thru this and come out on the other side.
