That's your definition. But the word "woke" is from the Black community so it should be understood in the context of what it means to that community.

Ironically, the Florida Attorney General gave a pretty good definition of what "woke" means to the people who created it. He said it means awareness of the injustices in society and of the need to address these injustices. He probably got this definition from eavesdropping on Black folks because it's actually pretty accurate. The only thing is, he said this as if it were a bad thing.
