Had a Black teacher of a certain age made note of Bernie's casual attire and the historical context, this would have made the point of Black folks having to be 10x as good to get 1/10th as far. especially back in the day.

The op-ed in question was behind a paywall, but excerpts have popped up in various places. Sometimes with a picture of the teacher who wrote it. I saw those and thought, we really need to get real!
