Thank you for this great explanation of why a "color-blind" approach to racism won't work. I cringed when I saw a Morgan Freeman clip from 2005 promoting this view and was happy to know that he later retracted it. Ignoring a problem never solves it.

Sure, race is a social construct. So is money. But I don't see anyone saying we could easily solve our economic problems if we simply stopped talking about money.
