TFG and his minions have been misappropriating the Black struggle for a while now. He is calling his opponents racists, crying about state harassment and being denied his rights, etc. And this misuse of Malcolm's "ballots or bullets" is a new low.

It appears as if he's trying to get white progressives to give him a share of our empathy and solidarity regarding Black folks. Or get more Black folks to pull a Kanye West and ride his coattails. Or trying to get his minions to identify with Black folks so they can feel the same righteous rage that Black folks experience. Many of them feel that racism against Black folks is over and that they're the new targets of racism. Next thing you know, they'll be calling themselves Black -- especially if Reparations comes through. In fact, I've already seen this.

It happened at a progressive rally shortly after the 2020 presidential election. The organizers set up an open mic for speakers and said BIPOC folks should have first say. This glow-in-the-dark white guy pushed his way to the front, shouted, "I identify as Black," and grabbed the mic. Then he proceeded to rattle off some right-wing talking points. Giving the devil his due -- that took some brass balls. We booed him off the stage.

It's a Bizarro world they live in their heads.
