The tough thing about this is, the people you speak of live in a bubble. Trying to talk to them is like beating your head against a wall. They truly believe that Ignorance is Strength.

What are they so angry about? They're angry about what they perceive as a violation of their covenant, that the lowest white man should always be superior to the greatest Black man. Obama was a direct challenge to this idea, and The Former Guy was the incarnation of their pushback. Just look at how they're framing the FBI raid on Mar-a-Largo. All of a sudden, law enforcement is the bad guys.
