Your god created humans with curiosity and free will, and put a forbidden tree right in the middle of their habitat. Then a talking snake suggested that if they eat from the tree they will gain knowledge. So they ate.
Then your god, who created humans with curiosity and free will, got so vexed over humans eating from the tree that he put there that he condemned humans to ongoing misery in future generations. Woman to suffer in childbirth, man to toil for his daily bread.
Then, in order to forgive humans for falling for the setup he created, he has to come to earth and sacrifice himself to appease himself for humans eating from a tree that he put there.
Then, even though he allowed himself to be tortured to death so that he could forgive humans, women still suffer in childbirth and we all have to toil for our daily bread. Oh yeah, and we have to deny ourselves to follow him*. Or else burn in hell forever.
With a god like that, who needs a devil?
