Racism is an issue that has divided us from the beginning, and ignoring it won’t solve anything. What are your proposed viable solutions? What are you, personally, doing?
I don’t enjoy complaining. But what I really don’t enjoy is seeing how Black people get the shaft here in the USA and abroad, and seeing how most white people don’t care. So I speak out when I can. Malcolm X said that white people who feel moved to end racism can do so by educating one another. If you want to call that complaining, so be it. Yet, as philosopher John Stuart Mill said in 1867, shortly after the end of the civil war: “bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing.”
The entire quote is worth reading:
“Let not any one pacify his conscience by the delusion that he can do no harm if he takes no part, and forms no opinion. Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing. He is not a good man who, without a protest, allows wrong to be committed in his name, and with the means which he helps to supply, because he will not trouble himself to use his mind on the subject.”

Like I said to the original author, I am autistic and don’t always get satire. We straightened that out upthread. And I don’t generally use profanity, because it reflects badly on the speaker and lowers the intelligence in the discourse.
Please read upthread before replying. That way you can reply in a way that contributes to the discussion, rather than in a way that adds nothing and reflects badly on yourself. Extra points for doing so without profanity.
