My sentiments exactly!

When Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire, thousands of indigenous European cultural heritages were destroyed. This created a spiritual vacuum, leading to many of the current problems of Western civilization.

Thanks also for giving a proper shout-out to the Sami people of Scandinavia. Their traditional religious leaders are known as Shamans. And, from what I hear, they're not too keen on everybody else using this word for anyone else who leads a ceremony anywhere else in the world, especially when new-agers use it to describe the spirituality that they cobble together from bits and pieces of whatever they can remember, imagine, or steal.

They say Jesus is the reason for the season, but he was most likely born in the spring or summer. And he never told us to buy more stuff.
