Malcolm X said white folks should educate ourselves and our people.

Any educator knows that you've got to meet people where they are and use words that they can understand.

Those of us in the know, know that "white privilege" refers to the benefits of civilization that should be available to all, but are denied to some people because they are not white. In other words, rights denied. I'm talking about rights like free assembly, free access and fair treatment in public accommodations, presumption of innocence and a fair trial by one's peers, fair payment for one's labor, etc.

Since when did these become privileges rather than rights? And how are we supposed to convince some poor white guy struggling to support his family on minimum wage that he's privileged to be able to get thru a traffic stop without getting killed by the cop? That he's coddled because he can go to the 7-11 at night without being followed and shot by the friendly neighborhood vigilante? That he's comfortable because he managed to get a mortgage that's now underwater and his job just went overseas and now he's gotta get by on driving gigs?

This is why they're calling us libtards (stupid) and standing with Agent Orange. Because he's using language that they can understand -- even though he's lying every time he opens his mouth!

Let's do that also. Use words that we all understand. Let's talk about Rights!
