"It’s triggering to Black people and confirmation to White supremacists"

Tell me about it!

Euro-mutt here, doing my best to talk to my people about let's stop supporting white supremacy through our complicity and ignorance. Then they come back at me with some quote from Kanye or Candace or some old Morgan Freeman video.

Just today I was talking with my brother , he was badmouthing our elderly Black neighbor because neighbor was demanding a little respect. "Put yourself in her shoes," I said. "When she was coming up she had to drink froma separate water fountain and pee in the vacant lot out back."

"That's over with," he replied, then started in about how Ye has his head on straight and Black people ought to listen to him. Then segued into how its a darn shame that Ye's bank no longer wants his business because of all the bad publicity he's brewing. smh.

Memo to Ye: how about moving your funds to One United Bank ... on second thought, maybe they don't want your bad publicity either ...

This conversation wasn't a one-of, either. Happens a lot. It's hard enough trying to fix stupid when these celebrities keep spreading the stupid around.
