Indeed. If I saw a kid with an AR wandering the streets during a period of civil unrest, I wouldn't think "hero" I"d think "a mass shooting about to happen." Never mind the victims' criminal past, that's irrelevant. It could well be that they saw the armed kid as a threat to their people, so they tried to stop him. Since they're dead, we'll never know.
