Indeed!

I was a big Beatles fan when I was a kid. Even stuck with them through John's "More Popular than Jesus" moment. Then I found out that many of their early hits were R&B (Black) standards and that they had neither acknowledged nor paid royalties. I lost all respect for them. I could forgive blasphemy but not plagiarism.

Every popular musician of the Caucasian Persuasion needs to acknowledge the African roots of Western popular music -- early and often. And their fans need to get used to hearing of this. Give credit where it's due!
