I don't think North Americans is a good word for us. We are not indigenous to North America, other people are. We are indigenous to Europe.

I call myself a Euro-mutt. My recent ancestors are indigenous to various places in Europe, and that's what I look like. Europe is one of the most hybridized places on Earth, that's why mutt is in there. Also it's a snarky little push-back against people who look like me and pride themselves on their racial purity.
