Forward with CRT!! Those who don't understand history are doomed to repeat it.

In regard to an entire white populace turning on and destroying their Black neighbors in a race massacre: this could happen again, and could well be in the works even at this moment.

Were there any white folks in early 20th century Tulsa or Rosewood who were opposed this violence? If so, why didn't they act? Maybe they didn't take the whispers seriously? Maybe they were women or children too intimidated by the patriarchy to speak up? (From my own experience, I'd say this second possibility was highly likely.)

So it's very important that we all know all of this country's history -- lest we be doomed to repeat it! Right now, with the DHS having identified white supremacist violence as the greatest threat at this time*, all decent-minded white folks need to think carefully about what we would do if we found out that a neighbor or friend or relative was part of a group planning such a crime. How we would speak to them, what would we do, how we would prevent them from going thru with the massacre.
