"Entitlement and Christianity are incompatible. In both women and men."
Seems to me colonization is a supreme act of entitlement, and the missionaries were / are the front lines of colonizers. This goes all the way back to Christianity being the official religion of the Roman Empire, the conquest of Europe and the destruction of its indigenous religions and cultures. The virus spreads through the colonization of the rest of the world — Africa, Asia, the Pacific islands. Here in the Americas, Christianity built plantation churches and Indian boarding schools. Now, Christianity oppresses its own people through the sexual physical and emotional abuse going on in the churches to this day. This includes sometimes-fatal conversion therapies for gender- and neuro-divergent people who had the bad luck to be born into Christian families. Entitlement is the name of the game.
So no true Christian would be entitled? Sounds like No True Scottsman to me.
Yes, there are true followers of Jesus' teachings. People who are not entitled, who live by the Great Commandment. I've met some. Funny thing is, not a one of them identify as Christians. Because that brand is toxic.
