At present, the accepted writing style is to capitalize Black when referring to Black people, since this is considered an ethnicity. White is not generally capitalized because … it’s complicated. One of the reasons is because white supremacists usually capitalize white, so the rest of us don’t capitalize white so as to avoid being mistaken for a white supremacist.

If it’s such a big deal to you, go ahead and capitalize whatever you want. Only problem is, TFG capitalizes any word he wants to emphasize, and his followers have taken up that style. So if you start throwing in capitalizations where they don’t belong, you may be mistaken for a member of that camp.

I see you’re very concerned with matters of writing style — using all 3 names, capitalizing white, etc. Aren’t there bigger fish to fry?
