A recent conversation with a trumpist in my life:

Me: You voted for a rapist! And I'm a rape survivor! How could you?!?!

Trumpist: He's not a rapist. He wasn't convicted of rape in court.

Me: If I steal a car, or assault someone, or vandalize someone's property, and don't get caught or convicted, did I still do something wrong?

Trumpist: Um ... y-y-yeah ....

Me: So how is rape any different from any other wrongdoing?

Trumpist: (silence)
